After dropping back-to-back matches to 6A opponents Austin Westwood and Round Rock this past week, Georgetown will return to District 25-5A team tennis competition at 4 p.m. Tuesday when the Eagles visit Leander Glenn.

The Eagles, 11-4 on the season and a dominant 2-0 in district, are coming off a 10-9 loss to the Dragons Friday at the Minzenmayer Tennis Center. Round Rock used a 5-1 victory margin in boys singles as the cornerstone of its upset win.

The Eagles came out of doubles with a 4-3 edge and posted a 4-2 showing in girls doubles.

Georgetown's doubles victories Friday came from Mason Mays-Nate Cretella in No. 3 boys doubles, Macey and Madison Strait in No. 2 girls doubles, Sierra Worsham and Cassie Partee in No. 3 girls doubles and Thor Sieckmann and Elaine Flachs in mixed doubles.

Girls singles wins were posted by Watford, Worsham and the Straits, while the lone boys singles victory came by Cretella, playing in the No. 6 position.

Going into the Glenn Match, Georgetown owns a 35-3 edge in regulation district matches over Cedar Park, 18-1, and Marble Falls, 17-2.

After facing Glenn, it will continue to be a busy week for the GHS program. The JV will visit Vista Ridge for a 4 p.m. match on Thursday, the No. 2 varsity will play host to Round Rock Cedar Ridge at 4 p.m. Friday and the varsity will entertain Belton and College Station for a double dip at 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Saturday.
